Promoted as a comedy, Gunless is your basic 'fish out of water tale'. This time out a hardboiled American gunman encounters a town full of sweetly naive Canadians who, seem to have settled the west without even raising their voices at each other let alone resorting to - gasp - violence.

The movie is entertaining. Subtle humor and character development are two things I enjoy. This is also a great movie to watch with the whole family as there is little objectionable content (one scene may be disturbing for young viewers when a dog is shot, and two characters do engage in sex (off-screen) and wake up together) and clean language (the word "ass" is used a couple of times).
